UP MSI follows the same application process for all graduate applicants for the UP Diliman College of Science. Applications to the MS program may only be submitted for the 1st Semester of the academic year, while applications for the PhD program will also be accepted for the 2nd Semester.

Recommenders must submit their recommendation forms through the Google Forms here: Recommendation Form in Support of Application to Graduate Program and/or DOST-ASTHRDP Scholarship. The recommendation forms must follow the filename format SURNAME_FIRSTNAME of the applicant, e.g. GOMEZ_EDGARDO.
The deadline of submission for the 1st Semester, AY 2025-2026 is May 2, 2025. Once submitted, an acknowledgment of the application will be sent through email. It is recommended that applicants use the same email address throughout the application process.
Please note that incomplete applications will not be processed.
Interested applicants may also process their DOST-ASTHRDP scholarship simultaneously with their graduate application. The DOST-ASTHRDP scholarship is available for both MS and PhD students. The faculty handling the DOST-ASTHRDP scholars in UP MSI is Dr. Wilfred John Santiañez.
Applications for the DOST-ASTHRDP scholarship must be submitted through the Google Forms here: DOST-ASTHRDP Graduate Scholarship for 1st Semester, AY 2025-2026.

Qualified applicants who cannot enroll during the semester for which they qualified can apply for deferment. The completed Form for Deferment must be signed by MSI Director Dr. Laura David and emailed to csgrad@science.upd.edu.ph.
